Secret Santa Giver Hits East Palestine Sparkle
An East Palestine man made his holiday season about giving Tuesday in Sparkle Market in East Palestine. He casually walked into the store, waited by the register and paid the grocery orders of three Sparkle customers.
“It wasn’t all about him,” said Sparkle employee Mary Lou Barnes. “It was about helping everyone else. It was just so special.”
Barnes said the East Palestine man had just come from a Chippewa retailer where he paid off three layaways in memory of his three daughters.
“I am just in shock,” Barnes said. “I have never seen anything like that around here. What a nice guy to do that to people. It’s just wonderful to know there is someone around here that is so generous and giving.”
Anderson’s gift joins a wave of similar contributions to retailers around the nations from people being coined as “Secret Santa benefactors.”
